Broncos’ updated 2020 draft picks after Case Keenum trade

After agreeing to trade quarterback Case Keenum to the Redskins, the Broncos currently have six selections for the 2020 NFL draft. (The trade will not become official until the new league year begins on March 13.)

Denver may acquire more draft picks between now and next April (they have eight selections this year), but as of now, here are the selections the Broncos have for next year’s draft:

Round 1: Natural selection
Round 2: Natural selection
Round 3: Natural selection
Round 4: Natural selection
Round 5: Natural selection
Round 6: Via Redskins

The team’s seventh-round pick was sent to Washington as part of the Keenum trade. Denver’s original sixth-round pick was conditionally sent to the Redskins in exchange for safety Su’a Cravens last offseason.

If Cravens plays in a playoff game, the Broncos will have to send their sixth-round pick to Washington. If Denver fails to make the playoffs or Cravens is not on the roster or does not dress for the postseason, the Broncos will keep their sixth-round pick, bringing their 2020 pick total to seven selections.

The 2020 NFL draft will take place in Las Vegas from April 23–25.
