Broncos training camp scheduled to start soon

Last week, the Colorado Department of Health approved the Denver Broncos’ plan for training camp, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis.

That happened two days before the NFL announced that training camps are on track to start on time this month. The league announced that rookies can report as early as Tuesday, July 21, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

The NFL also announced that quarterbacks and injured players can report on Thursday, July 23. Denver will have rookies, quarterbacks and players recovering from injuries all report on Thursday, according to Klis.

So quarterback Drew Lock is set to report to the team’s facility this week, as is cornerback Bryce Callahan and outside linebacker Brady Chubb, among others. The team’s veterans are scheduled to report to camp on Tuesday, July 28.

Pelissero reported on Saturday that only 20 players will be allowed in a team’s facility at a time “until the NFLPA signs off on infectious disease emergency response plans” for each team. That might happen in the coming days.
