Broncos tender Tim Patrick, 3 other exclusive free agents

The Denver Broncos have exercised one-year tenders on four exclusive rights free agents, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis.

The list of tendered players is headlined by wide receiver Tim Patrick, followed by linebacker Joe Jones, offensive lineman Elijah Wilkinson and defensive back Dymonte Thomas.

Patrick and Wilkinson will earn $570,000 in 2018. As more experienced players, Jones and Thomas will earn $645,000. Because they are exclusive free agents, these players can’t sign with other teams if tendered by Denver.

Patrick dressed for all 16 games last season, earning four starts. He hauled in 23 receptions for 315 yards and one touchdown. Jones served as a rotational linebacker on defense and starred on special teams, finishing the year with 15 tackles.

Wilkinson dressed for 12 games, earning seven starts. Thomas also dressed for 12 games and recorded 12 tackles, one sack and one interception.

The Broncos did not place a tender on linebacker Jerrol-Garcia Williams, allowing him to become a free agent. Williams missed last season while he recovered from a torn ACL.
