Broncos still above bottom-10 teams in NFL power rankings — for now

The Denver Broncos (2-5) are bad, but they’re not considered one of the 10 worst teams in the league, at least not yet. In his latest NFL power rankings for USA TODAY Sports, Nate Davis has Denver ranked No. 22 out of 32 teams (that’s 11th-worst, just above the 10-worst teams in the NFL).

Here is Davis’ commentary with the Broncos’ ranking:

Since winning Super Bowl 50, they’ve employed three coaches and a dozen or so QBs … but only one GM. Just sayin’ … common denominator.

Davis, of course, is referencing general manager John Elway. Some fans and pundits in Denver believe the former quarterback has worn out his welcome as an executive. Davis seems to agree.

The Broncos are the third-worst team in the AFC West, ranked above the Los Angeles Chargers (No. 24) and below the Oakland Raiders (No. 16) and Kansas City Chiefs (No. 10).

The New England Patriots remain ranked No. 1 and the Miami Dolphins are still ranked No. 32. To view the complete rankings, click here.
