Broncos stars Justin Simmons, Courtland Sutton snubbed by NFL Top 100 list

Denver Broncos star safety Justin Simmons and talented wide receiver Courtland Sutton appear to have been snubbed on this year’s NFL Top 100 list.

Broncos defensive lineman Jurrell Casey is ranked No. 71 on the list and outside linebacker Von Miller is expected to rank in the top 20. Denver only has two players on this year’s list so that means Simmons and Sutton were snubbed.

Fellow safety Kareem Jackson, who was a Pro Bowl alternate last year, also didn’t make the cut. Neither did outside linebacker Bradley Chubb or running back Phillip Lindsay, who both made the list last year.

Running back Melvin Gordon, who was ranked No. 34 on last year’s list, was also omitted. Chubb missed most of last season with an injury and Lindsay and Gordon saw their production slip so it’s not surprising that they didn’t make the 2020 list.

Sutton is coming off a Pro Bowl season, though, and Simmons is widely considered one of the top safeties in the NFL. Jackson likely deserved consideration as well. If the Broncos return to the playoffs this season, they will probably be better represented on the NFL Top 100 list in 2021.
