Broncos’ stadium ranked as 12th-best in the NFL

Broncos Stadium at Mile High is the 12th-best stadium in the NFL, according to rankings from Vinnie Iyer of Sporting News.

“It was important for Denver to keep the attitude associated with the altitude of Mile High,” Iyer wrote alongside his ranking of the Broncos’ stadium. “The stadium blends functional with picturesque in the mountains, and the fans make it come alive.”

Denver’s stadium ranks second in the AFC West, behind the Kansas City Chiefs (Arrowhead Stadium, No. 5) and above the Los Angeles Chargers (Dignity Health Sports Park, No. 29) and Oakland Raiders (Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, No. 30).

It’s worth noting that the Chargers will share the Los Angeles Rams’ new stadium when it’s completed in 2020 and the Raiders are building a new stadium in Las Vegas, which is also set to open in 2020.

The Chargers and Raiders will likely rank much higher on the list once they move into their new stadiums. For now, though, the Broncos are ranked higher.

Opened in 2001, Denver’s stadium holds 76,125 fans.
