Broncos sign WR Juwann Winfree to 4-year contract

The Denver Broncos signed wide receiver Juwann Winfree to a four-year contract Monday, the team announced. The Broncos traded their final two selections in the NFL draft to move up in the sixth round to select Winfree with the 187th overall pick in April.

Winfree’s contract is worth $2,791,104, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. His four-year deal will also include $171,104 in guaranteed money.

Winfree is now signed through the 2022 season and he’s scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in 2023.

Winfree (6-2, 210 pounds) battled through injuries during his time at the University of Colorado, limited him to just 21 appearances over the last three years. In those games, Winfree hauled in 60 receptions for 807 yards and six touchdowns.

Denver still has to sign tight end Noah Fant, offensive lineman Dalton Risner, quarterback Drew Lock, defensive lineman Dre’Mont Jones and linebacker Justin Hollins. At the time of this writing, the Broncos have approximately $10,445,906 in remaining salary cap space.
