Broncos sign offensive lineman Chaz Green

The Denver Broncos have signed offensive lineman Chaz Green, Ryan O’Halloran of The Denver Post first reported Monday.

Green (6-5, 318 pounds) entered the league as a third-round pick out of Florida with the Dallas Cowboys in 2015. He dressed for 18 games with the Cowboys from 2015-17, earning four starts.

After three years in Dallas, Green joined the New Orleans Saints in 2018 but didn’t appear in a regular season game before being cut in November. One week after being cut by the Saints, Green signed with the Oakland Raiders and dressed for four games, earning one start.

Green re-signed with Oakland in March and was then cut on May 28.

In 22 career games, Green has been penalized five times and has allowed seven sacks, according to STATS LLC. The 27-year-old guard will provide more depth on the offensive line and will likely compete for one of the team’s swing backup positions this summer.

After signing Green, the Broncos now have a full 90-man offseason roster. The team must trim its roster to 53 players by September.
