Broncos sign DL Deyon Sizer, waive WR Jamarius Way

After losing defensive lineman Billy Winn to a season-ending injury in their preseason opener, the Denver Broncos have signed defensive lineman Deyon Sizer, the team announced Sunday.

Sizer (6-4, 280 pounds) played college football at CSU-Pueblo and earned a contract from the Broncos earlier this year after a successful tryout at rookie minicamp (view our undrafted rookie bio on Sizer here).

He earned All-RMAC first-team defense honors after totaling 56 tackles and 5.5 sacks as a senior in 2018. Denver waived him in late July to make room for wide receiver Nick Williams but he’s now going to get another chance to make the team.

Sizer is probably a longshot to make the 53-man roster but he will have a shot to earn a spot on the 10-man practice squad. He could make his NFL debut when the Broncos face the Seahawks on Thursday.

To make room for Sizer on the 90-man offseason roster, Denver waived wide receiver Jamarius Way.
