Broncos select two Alabama defenders in 2020 NFL mock draft

The Broncos are expected to have a talented defense this season under new coach Vic Fangio, a defensive mastermind.

Many of Denver’s defenders will become free agents in 2020, though, so the team may need to reload at a few positions in the draft. In his latest two-round 2020 NFL mock draft for Draft Wire, Luke Easterling has the Broncos selecting two defenders with their first two picks.

In the first round, Easterling has Denver selecting Alabama inside linebacker Dylan Moses. Todd Davis is getting older and he’s battling a calf injury entering the 2019 season. The team may consider replacing Davis next year and Moses (6-3, 235 pounds) could be a good fit. He totaled 86 tackles — including 10 tackles for losses — and 3.5 sacks last season.

In the second round, the Broncos land another Crimson Tide defender: safety Xavier McKinney. Justin Simmons and Will Parks are both scheduled to become free agents next spring. If Denver is unable to re-sign one or both of them, McKinney (6-1, 200 pounds) could help in the secondary.

McKinney totaled 74 tackles, three sacks, two interceptions and two forced fumbles last season.
