Broncos select QB Kyler Murray in NFL.com’s 2019 NFL mock draft

In his most recent 2019 NFL mock draft, NFL.com draft analyst Chad Reuter has the Denver Broncos selecting Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray with the tenth overall pick.

Reuter has Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins (No. 6, New York Giants) and Missouri quarterback Drew Lock (No. 7, Jacksonville Jaguars) going off the board before the Broncos go on the clock.

“Picking behind at least two teams with quarterback needs, John Elway will have to either trade up to land his guy or take whichever top signal-caller is available at No. 10 if he wants to improve the Broncos’ QB situation via the draft,” Reuter wrote in his mock draft.

That’s reasonable logic from Reuter but the Jags may land a QB through free agency (perhaps Nick Foles?) and given that Elway seems to be obsessed with tall QBs, Murray appears to be an unlikely target. Trading up for Lock may be a more realistic scenario.

After landing Murray, Reuter has the Broncos selecting Notre Dame cornerback Julian Love (No. 41) in the second round and Western Illinois defensive lineman Khalen Saunders (No. 71) in the third round.
