Broncos rookie WR Jerry Jeudy returns to practice after brief exit

Denver Broncos rookie wide receiver Jerry Jeudy briefly left practice Friday but later returned.

“I think he’s fine,” coach Vic Fangio said after practice.

Jeudy left the field and was examined by trainers after making a catch at training camp on Friday, according to The Athletic‘s Nick Kosmider. Jeudy was favoring his right arm, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis.

Jeudy (6-1, 193 pounds) was selected by Denver with the 15th overall pick in the NFL Draft earlier this year. He is expected to serve as the No. 3 receiver behind Pro Bowler Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick in Week 1.

Earlier in camp, the Broncos lost their second-round pick, fellow receiver KJ Hamler, to a hamstring injury. Hamler has an uncertain timeline for recovery and he might be in danger of missing Denver’s season opener against the Titans on Sept. 14.

Broncos receiver Juwann Winfree (groin) has also been sidelined. To add more depth at the position, Denver signed rookie Cody White last week.
