Broncos reach agreement on 4-year deal with rookie WR Jerry Jeudy

The Denver Broncos have agreed to terms on a four-year contract with rookie wide receiver Jerry Jeudy. Because he was a first-round pick, Jeudy’s contract will include a team option for a fifth year to be added in 2024.

Jeudy’s contract is expected to have a signing bonus of $8,609,424 and a total value of $11,904,424, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. His signing bonus will be prorated over the four years of his contract for salary cap purposes.

Jeudy (6-1, 193 pounds) ran a 40-yard dash in 4.46 seconds at the NFL combine earlier this year. While at Alabama, Jeudy caught 159 passes for 2,742 yards and 26 touchdowns from 2017-2019, averaging 17.2 yards per catch.

Jeudy is expected to serve as the Broncos’ No. 2 receiver this season behind Courtland Sutton, who made the Pro Bowl as an alternate last year.

Denver’s draft class will have combined salary cap hits of $9,980,665 but the net cap hit will be closer to $3,219,217. After signing their draft class, the Broncos will have about $13,837,021 in remaining salary cap space.
