Broncos re-sign two players

The Denver Broncos have re-signed offensive lineman Ejijah Wilkinson and defensive back Dymonte Thomas, according to KMGH-TV’s Troy Renck.

Thomas, 25, signed with Denver as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan following the 2017 NFL draft. After spending most of his rookie season on the practice squad, Thomas dressed for 12 games last year.

Thomas played primarily on special teams in 2018 but he did record 12 tackles, one sack and one interception as a rotational safety. His one-year contract is worth $645,000, according to Spotrac.com.

Wilkinson, 24, also signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent following the 2017 NFL draft, though he played college football for Massachusetts. He spent seven games on the practice squad and nine games on the active roster as a rookie.

Last season, Wilkinson dressed for 12 contests and earned seven starts. At the moment, Wilkinson is penciled in as the team’s starting right guard. That may change after the draft (Wilkinson is probably better suited as a backup right tackle).

Wilkinson will also earn $645,000 in 2019, per Spotrac.com.

Denver can carry 90 players on its offseason roster.
