Broncos RB Royce Freeman returns to game after injury scare

Update: After being evaluated in the locker room, Freeman returned to the game midway through the second quarter. See our original post below.

Broncos running back Royce Freeman went to the locker room in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Packers and is questionable to return.

Denver announced that Freeman suffered a shoulder injury. If Freeman is not able to return, Phillip Lindsay will handle the load on offense.

Lindsay has gained 31 yards from scrimmage and scored one touchdown so far. The Broncos are tied with Green Bay 7-7 early in the second quarter.
