Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay is moving out of his parents’ home

After rushing for 1,474 yards and scoring 15 touchdowns as a senior at the University of Colorado, running back Phillip Lindsay wasn’t selected in last year’s NFL draft. Lindsay then signed a three-year, $1.725 million contract with the Broncos and went on to earn a Pro Bowl nod as a rookie.

Lindsay earned a base salary of $473,112 last season and he didn’t have to spend any of it on housing because he lived with his parents in their Denver-area home. Lindsay has been living with his parents for the last season and a half but he told Ian Rapoport on a podcast this week that he’s moving out soon.

“Yeah, I am,” Lindsay said on the RapSheet + Friends podcast. “Like you said, it’s about time for me to move out and I think that I played it smart.

“I was able to save some money for me to be able to get a place and also help myself out after getting a place. I just think it was the right choice to do right now. I definitely am going to move out and be an adult now.”

Lindsay is on pace to total 1,322 yards from scrimmage and score nine touchdowns this season. He is averaging 4.9 yards per carry.

The interview with Lindsay begins at the 45:03 mark of the podcast.
