Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay injured on ‘Monday Night Football’

Denver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay suffered a foot injury during a “Monday Night Football” contest against the Tennessee Titans in Week 1.

Lindsay did not return to the sideline after halftime and the team announced late in the third quarter that the running back has been ruled out.

In the first half, Lindsay rushed seven times for 24 yards and caught one pass for 11 yards. Melvin Gordon has rushed seven times for 28 yards and he has three receptions for eight yards so far. Gordon also lost a fumble.

Royce Freeman is now the second RB on the depth chart behind Gordon. Denver is currently tied with Tennessee 7-7 late in the third quarter.
