Broncos ranked low in post-free agency NFL power rankings

In his post-free agency NFL power rankings for USA TODAY Sports, Nate Davis has the Denver Broncos ranked No. 26 out of 32 teams. Here is Davis’ commentary with Denver’s ranking:

If John Elway gets the Joe Flacco who shocked Denver in 2012 playoffs, bravo. If not? GM will likely be taking another swing at QB conundrum.

Davis’ remark seemingly implies that he does not believe Flacco will return to 2012 form with the Broncos. Otherwise, ranking Denver so low wouldn’t make much sense.

The Broncos are the lowest-ranked team in the AFC West, behind the Oakland Raiders (No. 23), Kansas City Chiefs (No. 4) and Los Angeles Chargers (No. 2).

Of the six teams ranked lower than Denver, only two of them play in the AFC: the Cincinnati Bengals (No. 30) and Miami Dolphins (No. 32). The New England Patriots are ranked No. 1, which is no surprise.
