Broncos QB Drew Lock showing signs of improvement

Broncos rookie quarterback Drew Lock still has plenty to work on but there’s no denying that he showed improvement from the Hall of Fame Game to the team’s Week 1 preseason showdown with the Seahawks.

Lock had some promising moments in Seattle and his teammates have noticed that he’s making progress in his growth as an NFL QB.

“Yeah, for sure,” Broncos running back Royce Freeman said Monday when asked if he’s seen progress from Lock. “It all comes with time and it all comes with reps, especially him coming into this position.

“It’s a lot at one time and he’s done a great job of just trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible. And learning under Joe [Flacco], I think that’s also a plus. I look forward to seeing him grow.”

Lock went 17-for-28 with 180 yards against the Seahawks and threw one touchdown pass and one interception. He will be looking to improve on those numbers when Denver hosts the 49ers on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” at 6 p.m. MT on Aug. 19.
