Broncos QB Drew Lock reacts to his ‘Madden 20’ rating

EA Sports announced complete ratings for ‘Madden NFL 20’ on Monday. Earlier this summer, the video game announced rookie ratings.

Broncos second-round draft pick Drew Lock is rated 67 overall. The league posted a video on Instagram earlier this month showing several rookies reacting to their ratings, including Lock.

“What’s the lowest you can actually be?” Lock joked in response to his poor juke rating of 45.

Believe it or not, Lock is actually rated higher than 68 QBs, including Robert Griffin III (66), Brian Hoyer (66), Daniel Jones (63), Colt McCoy (62), Trevor Siemian (61), Geno Smith (58), Paxton Lynch (57) and Kyle Sloter (55).

Lock is considered the third-best rookie quarterback in the game, behind only Kyler Murray (73) and Dwayne Haskins (72). That seems fair given that Murray was selected first overall and Haskins was a first-round pick.

Lock will be competing with Kevin Hogan for Denver’s backup quarterback job this summer. Joe Flacco is the team’s assumed starter.
