Broncos players walk through disinfecting spray before practice

Before practice, Denver Broncos players walk through a non-toxic disinfecting spray that’s meant to help fight against COVID-19. That’s just one of many steps the team has taken in an effort to keep players healthy during the coronavirus.

A video of the process has drawn more than 1.6 million views on Twitter.

“This disinfecting spray helps protects the players from COVID-19 by killing microbes and pathogens instantly by forming millions of nano-crystalline structures,” Broncos lead writer Aric DiLalla tweeted on Monday.

Denver outside linebacker Von Miller said Tuesday that the team’s safety precautions played a part in his decision to not opt out of the 2020 season. Miller, who has asthma, tested positive for the coronavirus in April. He tested negative two weeks later and has since been cleared for football activities.

“I think the Broncos are doing a great job keeping us safe,” Miller said.

Denver currently has one player on the team’s Reserve/COVID-19 list.
