The Broncos agreed to terms a two-year, $16 million contract with former Chargers running back Melvin Gordon on Thursday and it’s safe to say that his new teammates are pretty excited about the signing.

Denver announced the signing on Twitter by sharing a “Flash Gordon” video. Gordon seemed to appreciate the meme:
Gordon wore jersey No. 25 while playing in Los Angeles and that number is now available with the Broncos after the team lost cornerback Chris Harris, who has agreed to a two-year deal with the Chargers.
Gordon seems to be pretty motivated to play against his former team. He took less money from Denver than he could have earned from another team, according to a report from NFL Network. The chance to stay in the AFC West and face Los Angeles twice a year helped lure Gordon to the Broncos.
