Broncos place LB Aaron Wallace on waived/injured list

To make a spot for new tight end/fullback Orson Charles on the 90-man offseason roster, the Denver Broncos placed linebacker Aaron Wallace on the waived/injured list Wednesday.

Wallace (6-2, 240 pounds) had been battling a hamstring injury and was a longshot to make Denver’s 53-man roster. Wallace will now be subject to the NFL’s waiver wire. If he goes unclaimed, Wallace will become a free agent.

Wallace entered the league as a seventh-round pick out of UCLA with the Tennessee Titans in 2016. He dressed for 10 games as a rookie, totaling 14 tackles and one sack. After he spent most of the 2017 season on injured reserve with a back injury, Wallace was waived by Tennessee in 2018.

The Cincinnati Bengals added Wallace to their practice squad last fall and Denver signed him to their active roster in December. He did not play in the Broncos’ 2018 season finale but was invited to compete for a roster spot this summer. A hamstring injury has cut his trout
