Broncos OLB Von Miller listed among NFL’s most indispensable players

Earlier this month, NFL.com columnist Adam Schein published lists of the most indispensable offensive and defensive players in the league. It’s not a list of simply the best players in the NFL, but rather the players that are “most critical to their teams’ success,” according to Schein.

Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller made the list of nine defensive players, joining a group of players that includes Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald, Chicago Bears edge defender Khalil Mack and Houston Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt.

“He’s the pre-eminent sack artist who keeps defensive coordinators up at night while giving the flawed Broncos a chance in every game they play,” Schein wrote of Miller before going on to say 20 sacks could be within reach for the edge defender this season.

Miller has totaled 98 sacks since he entered the NFL in 2011, the highest total in the league during that period. After totaling 14.5 sacks in 2018, Miller will aim to reach his sixth-straight Pro Bowl in 2019.
