Broncos now have 3 of PFF’s top-10 cornerbacks from 2018

The Denver Broncos had three quality cornerbacks from 2014-2017 in Aqib Talib, Chris Harris and Bradley Roby. Those three players were important members of the “No Fly Zone,” which was rounded out by safeties T.J. Ward and Darian Stewart.

After the Broncos moved on from Ward, Talib, Roby and Stewart, Harris was the last remaining member of the original “No Fly Zone.” This offseason, general manager John Elway upgraded the secondary by signing cornerbacks Kareem Jackson and Bryce Callahan during NFL free agency.

After signing Jackson and Callahan, Denver now has three of the top-10 cornerbacks in the league, according to Pro Football Focus.

PFF is a website that grades players on a 1-to-100 scale based on their play. In 2018, Harris earned a grade of 86.0, the third-highest rating among cornerbacks in the NFL. Jackson earned a grade of 85.7, the fourth-highest grade among and Callahan earned a grade of 81.4, the ninth-best among cornerbacks.

The Broncos will certainly have an improved secondary from last year, a unit that at times featured Adam Jones and Tramaine Brock. With Justin Simmons and Will Parks stepping up at safety, Denver’s “No Fly Zone” secondary may make a return in 2019.
