Broncos met with WR Laviska Shenault at NFL combine

The Denver Broncos interviewed Colorado wide receiver Laviska Shenault at the NFL combine last week, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. Shenault (6-1, 227 pounds) ran a 40-yard dash in 4.58 seconds at the combine.

NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein has compared Shenault to Sammy Watkins, who was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the first round of the 2014 draft.

After a quiet freshman season (seven catches for 168 yards), Shenault emerged as a top receiver prospect in 2018, catching 86 passes for 1,011 yards and six touchdowns. During his three years with the Buffaloes, Shenault caught 149 passes for 1,943 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Shenault is the 25th-best player in this year’s class and the fourth-best wide receiver, according to Luke Easterling’s 2020 NFL draft big board for Draft Wire. Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy (No. 8) and Henry Ruggs (No. 12) and Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb (No. 9) are the three receivers ranked higher than Shenault on Draft Wire’s big board.

The draft will be held in Las Vegas from April 23-25.
