Broncos met with WR CeeDee Lamb at NFL combine

The Denver Broncos scheduled an interview with Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb at the NFL combine, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. It’s uncertain if that interview has already happened or is yet to take place.

Lamb (6-2, 189 pounds) caught 173 passes for 3,292 yards and 32 touchdowns during his three years with the Sooners. He earned consensus All-American honors in 2019 after leading the Big 12 with 14 touchdown catches.

Lamb is the ninth-best player in this year’s class and the second-best wide receiver, according to Luke Easterling’s 2020 NFL draft big board for Draft Wire. Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy (No. 8) is the only wide receiver ranked higher than Lamb on Draft Wire’s big board.

Broncos quarterback Drew Lock would love having another star receiver to pair with Courtland Sutton but it’s hard to imagine Lamb falling to 15th overall when Denver is scheduled to select in the first round.

If he does fall, Lamb would be an excellent choice for the Broncos.
