Broncos met with Washington State OT Andre Dillard at Senior Bowl

The Denver Broncos spoke with Washington State offensive tackle Andre Dillard after a practice at the Senior Bowl last month, according to  Charlie Campbell of WalterFootball.com.

Dillard (6-5, 306 pounds) was named a first-team All-Pac-12 offensive tackle as a senior in 2018 after earning honorable mention honors in 2017. He played left tackle in college but could potentially play right tackle if asked to do so at the next level.

“He’s a mobile player, showing fast feet, and active hands,” according to Draft Wire’s Gavino Borquez. “He knows how to use his hands to shut down edge rushers and absorb power rushers. Against the run, he can get out of his stance quickly and pull into space or reach a shaded defensive lineman.”

With veteran Jared Veldheer set to become a free agent this offseason, the Broncos could certainly use more depth at offensive tackle. Dillard may be one of the prospects the team is considering.

Dillard is considered the fifth-best offensive tackle in this year’s class and is projected to be selected in the second or third round, according to WalterFootball.com. Denver owns five selections in the first four rounds of this year’s draft, which will begin on April 25.
