Broncos met with OL Nate Davis at NFL combine

The Denver Broncos met with UNC Charlotte offensive lineman Nate Davis at the 2019 NFL combine, according to The Athletic’s Nicki Jhabvala.

Davis (6-3, 300 pounds) was a four-year starter during his time with college football’s 49ers, earning 37 career starts. He earned second-team All-C-USA honors in 2018, recognition which is voted on by league coaches.

Davis is the 10th-best interior offensive lineman in this year’s class, according to Luke Easterling of Draft Wire (view the complete rankings here). He will likely be a mid- to late-round pick in April’s draft.

With Ron Leary recovering from injury and Connor McGovern potentially moving to center, Denver could certainly use more depth at offensive guard.

The Broncos are expected to re-sign Billy Turner this offseason. Even after re-signing Turner, though, Denver will likely target more offensive linemen through free agency and the draft. NFL free agency will begin on March 13 and the draft will begin on April 25.
