Broncos lose director of rehabilitation Dustin Little to 49ers

When the Denver Broncos first requested to interview San Francisco 49ers quarterbacks coach Rich Scangarello for their open offensive coordinator job, the 49ers turned them down.

A few days later, though, San Francisco changed its mind and allowed Scangarello to interview (and he got the job). Perhaps Broncos general manager John Elway and 49ers general manager John Lynch worked out a trade?

Scangarello in exchange for director of rehabilitation Dustin Little.

There’s been no indication that such a “trade” was agreed to between the two teams but it’s reasonable to speculate that the two teams are at least on good terms. Elway helped mentor Lynch in the years leading up to the former safety returning to the NFL as an executive.

There’s been no word yet on who will replace Dustin in Denver.
