Broncos land Clemson CB A.J. Terrell in 2020 NFL mock draft

In his latest two-round 2020 NFL mock draft, Draft Wire’s Luke Easterling has the Denver Broncos selecting Alabama defensive lineman Raekwon Davis in the first round (No. 12 overall) and Clemson cornerback A.J. Terrell (No. 44 overall) in the second round.

With Derek Wolfe, Shelby Harris and Adam Gotsis all set to become free agents in 2020, Denver could certainly use more depth on the defensive line. Entering his senior year, Davis has totaled 128 tackles — including 16.5 tackles for losses — and 11 sacks so far at Alabama.

It’s easy to imagine the Broncos selecting a defensive lineman early next year. Denver may target cornerbacks early as well.

The Broncos already have three talented cornerbacks in Chris Harris, Kareem Jackson and Bryce Callahan but the team’s depth could take a big hit if Harris walks during free agency next March. Jackson is also expected to spend some time at safety.

As a sophomore last year, Terrell totaled 53 tackles and three interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown. He also broke up three passes and forced two fumbles during the 2018 season.
