Broncos land a LB and QB in Peter King’s NFL mock draft

In his first-round 2019 NFL mock draft with trades, Peter King of NBC Sports has the Denver Broncos landing a linebacker and quarterback.

With LSU’s Devin White already off the board (No. 5), King has the Broncos selecting Michigan linebacker Devin Bush with the 10th overall pick. King believes there will be four or five teams between picks 10-20 that would have big interest in Bush if the Broncos pass on him.

Then, King has a bit of a surprise. He has Missouri quarterback Drew Lock falling all the way down to No. 31 overall. King has Denver trading up with the Los Angeles Rams to select Lock, sending L.A. a second-round pick this year (No. 41) and a second-round pick in 2020 in exchange for pick No. 31.

Many mock drafts have the Broncos selecting Lock with the 10th overall pick. It would be surprising (to us) to see the quarterback fall that far in the draft. It apparently wouldn’t surprise King, though.

The first round of the draft will begin on Thursday evening.
