Broncos jump three spots in NFL power rankings after win

After defeating the Los Angeles Chargers 20-13 on the road, the Denver Broncos jumped up three spots in Nate Davis’ latest NFL power rankings for USA TODAY Sports. Denver is now ranked No. 25 out of 32 teams.

It’s still a low ranking (they are considered the eighth-worst team in the league) but it could certainly be worse. Here is Davis’ commentary with the Broncos’ ranking:

Apparently #FakeNews is now infiltrating the NFL, this weekend’s most ridiculous rumor being the one that had Von Miller on trade block.

Davis was referencing rumors that Miller — and several other big-name players — are on the trade block. Miller is not actually on the trade block.

Denver (1-4) is the lowest-ranked AFC West team, below the Los Angeles Chargers (2-3, No. 20), Oakland Raiders (3-2, No. 19) and Kansas City Chiefs (4-1, No. 3).

The New England Patriots (5-0) are ranked No. 1 and the Miami Dophins (0-4) are ranked No. 32. To view the complete power rankings, click here.
