Broncos injuries: Von Miller has minor knee soreness

Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller has minor knee soreness, according to a report from KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. Miller did not practice Saturday but coach Vic Fangio indicated that it was just a rest day.

“He’s okay,” Fangio said. “He’s made every practice we’ve had since OTAs I believe and we just decided to give him a day off.”

Miller echoed his coach’s comments.

“I’m good, it’s just a rest day,” Miller said. “Everybody in camp gets one, today was mine. I expect to play on Monday.

Cornerback Horace Richardson (back) was also held out of practice Saturday and his status for Monday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers is uncertain.

Fangio did not specifically address the statuses of guard Ron Leary (knee), outside linebacker Malik Reed (side), inside linebacker Josey Jewell (oblique), wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (Achilles recovery), inside linebacker Todd Davis (calf) or linebacker Joe Jones (triceps).

NFL teams do not release inactive lists for preseason games so we won’t know which players will be held out of Monday’s game until players stretch and suit up (or don’t suit up) at the stadium.
