Broncos host OT Jake Witt on top-30 visit

The Denver Broncos scheduled a top-30 visit with Northern Michigan (Division II) OT Jake Witt last month, according to The Draft Network’s Ryan Fowler. NFL teams are allowed to host up to 30 non-local prospects at their facility leading up to the draft each offseason.

Witt (6-7, 302 pounds) started his college career at Michigan Tech playing basketball before later transferring to Northern Michigan in 2019. He initially played as a tight end at NMU before being moved to the offensive line out of necessity during an injury crisis during the 2021 season.

Witt then gained weight ahead of the 2022 season and played offensive tackle as a senior, starting all 11 games. Despite playing for a small school, Witt is on the radar of NFL teams as the draft approaches.

Witt impressed at NMU’s pro day last month, running a 40-yard dash in 4.89 seconds and posting a 37-inch vertical jump, according to Fowler.

Witt will likely be viewed as a late-round prospect or undrafted free agent candidate. The Broncos’ final pick is set to be No. 195 overall in the sixth round (view Denver’s complete order of picks here).

The NFL draft will be held in Kansas City from April 27-29.
