Broncos had a formal interview with OLB Felix Anudike-Uzomah at NFL combine

The Denver Broncos had a formal interview with Kansas State pass rusher Felix Anudike-Uzomah at the NFL combine, according to The Draft Network’s Ryan Fowler. NFL teams are allowed to have up to 45 formal visits with players at the combine each year.

Anudike-Uzomah (6-3, 255 pounds) played defensive end in college, but he would likely transition to outside linebacker if selected by an NFL team that runs a 3-4 defense like the Broncos. He earned third-team All-American recognition last season after totaling 46 tackles (11 for losses), 8.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one pass breakup in 14 games.

In three years with the Wildcats, Anudike-Uzomah totaled 97 tackles (26.5 behind the line), 20.5 sacks and eight forced fumbles in 27 games.

NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein has compared Anudike-Uzomah to Dante Fowler Jr., who was a first-round pick in the 2015 NFL draft. Anudike-Uzomah is projected as a second-round prospect this year, so Denver might have to trade up if the team hopes to land him.

The Broncos’ top draft picks this year are back-to-back selections in the third round, Nos. 67 and 68 overall.

The 2023 NFL draft will be held in Kansas City from April 27-29.
