Broncos had 5th-best attendance in NFL last season

Despite posting a 6-10 record in 2018, the Denver Broncos still managed to draw plenty of fans to their stadium.

The Broncos averaged 76,446 fans per home game last season, marking the fifth-highest average in the NFL, according to ESPN. Here’s a look at the five teams with the best attendance:

1. Dallas Cowboys: 91,619
2. New York Jets: 77,982
3. Green Bay Packers: 77,834
4. New York Giants: 76,940
5. Denver Broncos: 76,446

The four teams that drew more fans than Denver last season all have larger stadiums than the Broncos.

Elsewhere in the AFC West, the Los Angeles Chargers drew the fewest fans last year (32,768), but they also played in the league’s smallest stadium. Dignity Health Sports Park, the home of the L.A. Galaxy and temporary home of the Chargers, seats just 27,000 fans for soccer matches.

The Oakland Raiders averaged 57,919 fans per game last year, the fourth-lowest total in the league. Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum can seat up to 63,132 fans.

The Kansas City Chiefs averaged 75,972 fans per game, which is not far away from Arrowhead Stadium’s capacity of 76,416. KC drew the sixth-most fans in the league.

Denver has sold out every home game dating back to 1970.
