Denver Broncos starting right guard Graham Glasgow left Saturday’s practice at Empower Field at Mile High with an apparent injury.
“Graham tweaked his ankle early on,” Broncos coach Vic Fangio said during his post-practice Zoom press conference. “Don’t know the extent of it. He hurt his ankle and I don’t know the seriousness of it yet.”
Later in the afternoon, Denver general manager John Elway told KOA Radio’s Dave Logan and Rick Lewis that Glasgow has a sprained ankle. Elway didn’t seem overly concerned about the injury, according to KOA Radio’s Brandon Krisztal.
The Broncos will know more about the severity of Glasgow’s injury when the team returns to UCHealth Training Center to resume camp on Monday.
After Glasgow left practice, he was replaced on the offensive line by swing guard/center Austin Schlottmann. If Glasgow has to miss any games, Schlottmann and Netane Muti would likely be the favorites to fill in.
After allowing zero sacks in 15 games with the Detroit Lions last season, Glasgow became a free agent in March and signed a four-year, $44 million contract with Denver.
