Broncos free agent WR Jordan Taylor visiting Vikings and Seahawks

The Denver Broncos opted not to place a one-year tender on wide receiver Jordan Taylor earlier this year, allowing him to become an unrestricted free agent. It’s now been several weeks since the start of free agency and Taylor remains unsigned.

The receiver’s chances of returning to Denver appear to be slim but he does have a pair of visits lined up this week. Taylor will visit the Minnesota Vikings (Monday) and Seattle Seahawks (Wednesday) this week, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

Taylor (6-5, 210 pounds) was given the nickname “Sunshine” during his time with the Broncos and his impressive training camp catches made him a fan favorite in Denver. He was also a favorite of former quarterback Peyton Manning.

While Manning worked his way back from an injury during the 2015 season, Taylor (who was on the practice squad at the time) ran routes for the veteran quarterback, helping Manning return in time for the playoffs.

The Broncos went on to defeat the Carolina Panthers 24-10 in Super Bowl 50 and Taylor was promoted to the active roster in 2016. He caught 29 passes for 351 yards and two touchdowns from 2016-2017.

Taylor had surgeries on both of his hips last year and he missed the entire 2018 season. He is healthy entering the 2019 offseason.
