This year’s Madden cover features Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, which isn’t ideal for Broncos fans who enjoy playing the popular NFL video game. So one fan made an alternate version.
Reddit user “finalcutwizard” created an alternate cover featuring Denver running back Phillip Lindsay. Check it out:
Don’t worry! There are no Madden curses associated with fan-made covers. This year’s so-called Madden Curse applies to Mahomes.
Lindsay gained 1,278 yards from scrimmage in 15 games last season and scored 10 touchdowns. After an impressive year, Lindsay became the first undrafted offensive rookie in NFL history to be voted to the Pro Bowl.
Lindsay may see his workload slightly decreased this season with Royce Freeman back to full health. That will help keep him fresh, though, allowing him to remain productive.
In previous years, Broncos fans have created alternate covers featuring Von Miller. Ratings for Denver players are expected to be announced later this summer — hopefully long snapper Casey Kreiter will get more respect in this year’s game.
