Broncos fall to Jaguars 26-24, extend losing streak

After leading the Jacksonville Jaguars 17-6 at halftime, the Denver Broncos were dominated in the second half at Empower Field at Mile High and lost 26-24, dropping to 0-4 this season.

The Broncos have now lost eight straight games dating back to a 24-10 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Dec. 2. Since then, Denver has lost to the San Francisco 49ers (20-14), Cleveland Browns (17-16), Oakland Raiders (27-14; 24-16), Los Angeles Chargers (23-9), Chicago Bears (16-14), Green Bay Packers (27-16) and Jacksonville.

Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette rushed 29 times for 225 yards, eating up the clock and wearing down Denver’s defense.

Up next for the Broncos is a road game against the Los Angeles Chargers (2-2) in Week 5. After allowing Fournette to control the game on Sunday, Denver’s defense will face running back Melvin Gordon next week. Gordon ended his holdout last week and returned to the Chargers, though he did play in Week 4.
