Broncos draft prospects bracket: Devin White vs. Devin Bush

We have reached the finals of our March Madness-style bracket helping to determine who the Denver Broncos should select with the No. 10 overall pick in the NFL draft.

The readers have spoken and the final matchup comes down to two linebackers: Devin White and Devin Bush.

After defeating cornerback Greedy Williams in the first round, the No. 1 seed White received over 75 percent of the vote in the semi-finals en route to eliminating Iowa tight end T.J. Hockenson.

On the other side of the bracket, Michigan linebacker Devin Bush blew by tight end Noah Fant in the first round before pulling a bit of an upset in the semi-finals, eliminating Missouri quarterback Drew Lock when he received about 56 percent of that vote.

It’s clear that the Broncos’ most pressing need is likely at the linebacker position, but which one of these guys would be a better fit? They’re both talented prospects who played at top college programs.

The knock on Bush is always going to be his size as he is a bit undersized for a linebacker at the professional level. But if the phrase “plays bigger than his size” applies to anyone, it’s Bush.

A physical tackler who diagnoses plays quite well, Bush would be an immediate upgrade over every linebacker on the roster not named Von Miller or Bradley Chubb.

The team lacks an impact player in the middle of the defense and Bush could be that guy as he can also drop into coverage and perhaps solve the team’s continuous struggle of not being able to hang with tight ends.

On the other hand, White is considered by many to be the top linebacker in the draft. However, for all of the criticism Bush gets regarding his size, White is only an inch taller and a few pounds heavier.

White is an imposing player due to his strength and aggression and while he doesn’t process what the offense is going to as well as Bush, the idea of putting him on a defense that includes Miller and Chubb is quite enticing.

So which player will it be? Cast your vote now to determine the winner of the tournament.
