Broncos continue moving up in NFL power rankings

After their second consecutive win, the Denver Broncos are now ranked No. 23 overall in Nate Davis’ NFL power rankings for USA TODAY Sports. That’s seven spots up from their lowest ranking of the year, No. 30.

Here is Davis’ commentary with Denver’s ranking:

Offense has been steadily fading over past three weeks, but defense has picked up pace with 12 sacks and six takeaways over same stretch.

The Broncos are yet to score more than 24 points in a single game this season, which is something that has to change if the win streak is going to continue.

Denver is now ranked above the Los Angeles Chargers (No. 24) but still below the Oakland Raiders (No. 13) and Kansas City Chiefs (No. 6). The Broncos will face Kansas City on Thursday evening. An upset win would go a long way toward improving Denver’s ranking.

The New England Patriots remain ranked No. 1 and the Miami Dolphins are still ranked No. 32. To view the complete rankings, click here.
