Broncos changed training camp report date for rookies

Denver Broncos rookies were originally scheduled to report for training camp on Tuesday, July 21. The team has changed that schedule.

Denver’s rookies are now expected to report for camp on Thursday, July 23, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. Broncos veterans are scheduled to report to the team’s facility on Tuesday, July 28.

Denver won’t have fans at training camp practices this summer because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Broncos might not have any preseason games, either. The NFLPA wants longer training camps with no preseason games to give players more time to get in shape for the regular season.

While preseason’s status is in jeopardy, the NFL is still planning to have the regular season start on time. Denver’s first game is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 14 against the Tennessee Titans. That Monday Night Football contest will be nationally televised on ESPN beginning at 8:15 p.m. MT. To view the Broncos’ complete 2020 schedule, click here.
