Broncos CB Chris Harris tweets about commitment to team

The Broncos lost to the Jaguars 26-24 on Sunday and dropped to 0-4 this season. Denver has now lost eight straight games dating back to last year.

After the game, Broncos cornerback Chris Harris was clearly frustrated. He told The Denver Post‘s Mark Kiszla, “I ain’t saying nothing, 13 more weeks for me,” referencing his impending free agency in 2020.

That comment seemed to imply that Harris is counting down his days left in Denver. During his media availability Monday, Broncos coach Vic Fangio was asked about the cornerback’s remarks.

“That’s just common,” Fangio said. “I think he’s obviously a free agent at the end of this year. I don’t worry about it too much. I’ll ask it about it.”

Later that day — presumably after Harris spoke with Fangio — the cornerback tweeted and assured fans that he’s committed to turning things around.

Harris didn’t mention anything about his status beyond this season but fans can rest easy knowing that he’s locked in for the remainder of 2019.
