Broncos CB Chris Harris sees value in joint practices with 49ers

The Broncos hosted the 49ers for a joint training camp practice Friday and will do so again Saturday before playing against them Monday. For cornerback Chris Harris, the joint practices present an opportunity to improve.

“These practices are very valuable,” Harris said on Aug. 15. “It seems like every time we have these joint practices there’s just always something that you have to learn from scheme-wise too, technique-wise and scheme-wise, so hopefully we get a lot of great work and be able to use it for the season.”

Two years ago, Broncos and 49ers players got into fights four times during two joint practices. Things were better last year as Denver had no fights during joint practices with the Bears.

There were no scuffles on Friday and Harris doesn’t plan to get involved in any fights on Saturday, either.

“Nah, why would we fight the 49ers?” Harris asked. “I don’t know anybody really on their team.”
