Broncos CB Chris Harris rooting for AAF’s Hotshots

Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris has picked the Arizona Hotshots as his new favorite team in the Alliance of American Football. Harris gave shout-outs to wide receiver Robert Nelson Jr. and former Broncos linebacker Steven Johnson on Twitter.

Some fans in Denver pointed out that Harris didn’t mention Arizona safety Rahim Moore by name. It’s unclear if that was intentional.

Moore unfortunately misjudged a Joe Flacco pass to Jacoby Jones in the 2012 playoffs, allowing the Ravens to score a game-tying touchdown late in the game. Baltimore went on to win the game and fans in Denver have had a hard time forgiving Moore.

Moore recorded four tackles and broke up one pass in the Hotshots’ 38-22 win over the Salt Lake Stallions on Sunday evening. Moore and Harris both entered the NFL with the Broncos in 2011.

Johnson, who played with Harris from 2012-2014, led Arizona with seven tackles and one interception on Sunday. He’s arguably the Hotshots’ best defender. He signed with Denver as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas in 2012.
