Broncos CB Chris Harris responds to criticism from Brandon Stokley

Brandon Stokley was a fan favorite during his time in Denver. He was a great route runner with reliable hands.

As a radio host, though, Stokley hasn’t been quite as well received. The former receiver seemingly tries to stir up controversy, in the past suggesting the Broncos trade Von Miller.

Stokley also recently suggested cornerback Chris Harris Jr. needs to prove he deserves a contract extension.

“So, look, he’s been great, but he’s still got to prove that he can play at a high level at age 30,” Stokley said on 104.3 The Fan. “You just can’t give away contracts and money on what you did a few years ago.”

Harris clapped back on Twitter, saying Stokley sounded like a “clown.”

Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe seemed to appreciate Harris’ tweet.

Harris will turn 30 in June. He has recorded 462 tackles and 19 interceptions since joining the team as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas in 2011. The four-time Pro Bowler is entering his ninth season.
