Broncos CB Chris Harris ahead of Week 9 game vs. Browns: ‘I want Beckham’

Give Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris credit for his self-confidence. Harris did not hesitate to choose star Browns wideout Odell Beckham Jr. as the man he wants to face when the two teams meet on Sunday in Denver.

“I want Beckham. What do you mean?” Harris said in his press conference when asked who he wanted to face. “He’s the best receiver on their team.”

Harris wasn’t trying to throw any shade at Jarvis Landry. He just wants the challenge of facing Beckham.

“Landry, he has a lot of catches and he’s been great in this league. No disrespect to him. I’ve had great battles with him too, but in their offense [Beckham] is their big-play guy.”

Harris has proven one of the NFL’s better cover men over the last few seasons. He’s made four of the last five Pro Bowls and was a first-team All-Pro in 2016. Harris was the subject of trade talks earlier this week but ultimately will play out his contract in Denver until the end of the season.
