Broncos CB Chris Harris excited about ‘all business’ coach Vic Fangio

During an appearance on the Jim Rome Show on Tuesday, Broncos cornerback Chris Harris spoke about new coach Vic Fangio.

“It’s about business,” Harris said. “The thing that I like is that he takes control of the whole defense and he is able to coach up every position and explain everything in detail of how you need to do it.

“Everything is clearcut. There’s nothing gray and that’s what I like about him — he’s all about business. I’ve had coaches like that before and I’ve been able to work great with them.”

Fangio is a defensive mastermind and after a successful run with the Bears as a defensive coordinator, he’s bringing his 3-4 system to Denver. Harris believes he’s a good fit for the new scheme.

“It’s a perfect defense for a corner, especially for me” Harris said. “I can blitz, I get to do everything that I’ve been doing and more. He has a way [of] getting his DBs a lot of interceptions like we’ve seen with the Bears — I think they almost had 30 interceptions last year.”

Harris is the only cornerback in the NFL with multiple interceptions in each of the last seven seasons. The four-time Pro Bowler will aim to keep that streak alive playing under Fangio in 2019.
